Fr. Andy Peter LUBI, DMin, DWST alumnus 1995, belongs to the Vicariate of Calapan and the new rector of SASMA. He obtained recently (2015) his Doctorate in Ministry from the Catholic Theological Union (Chicago) on “Forming Community of Disciples Around The Banquet of Faith and Life: The Praxis of Table Fellowship In The Philippine Apostolic Vicariate of Calapan.”  Fr. Andy is also the author of Earthern Vessels: Reflections on Diocesan Priestly Formation (Makati: St. Pauls, 2015).

DWST welcomes new professor, Fr. Den Mark Malabuyoc, OSJ, SSL (DWST alumnus 2010) who just finished his Licentiate in Sacred Scripture (SSL) at the Pontifical Biblical Institute (Biblicum, Rome). He will teach Synoptics II (Luke-Acts).


Likewise, DWST welcomes new professor in Catechetics - Fr. Vicente Castro, SVD, STL. Fr. Castro studied abroad and was ordained priest in 1966. He was parish priest for many years in Surigao and in Mindoro before he served as editor for the Arnoldus Nota, an SVD publication of the SVD Generalate (Rome). At present, he resides at the Villa Cristo Rey in Christ the King Seminary, Quezon City.

DWST greets OSJ and SASMA

DWST greets the OSJ on the occasion of the Congregation's 100 years in the Philippines. In August 26, 1915, the first five OSJ Missionaries arrived in the Philippines in the province of Batangas. They were Rev. Fr. Giueseppe Anfossi, OSJ, Rev. Fr. Ernesto Fornaco, OSJ, Rev. Fr. Eugenio Gherlone, OSJ, Br. Giuseppe Macagno, OSJ and Br. Giovanni Battista Camera, OSJ.


DWST also greets SASMA on its Feast Day (Aug 28, Feast of Saint Augustine) and its new Rector, Rev. Fr. Andy Lubi.

T3 Canon Law midterms pointers (8:10 - 10:00 am, 20 July 2015).
1. Explain how the clerics' sanctifying function has become a pastoral dilemma due to the cultural practice of "low-paying Sacraments" vs "high-paying Sacramentals"; cite canon law and PCP II provisions (45 pts).

2. Table / diagram what constitutes VALIDITY and LICEITY of the ff sacraments: Baptism, Confirmation, Penance, Anointing of the Sick (45 pts).

RIP Fr. Tadeo "Deo Angcao

DWST extends its condolences to the Diocese of Imus and to the family of the late Fr. Deo Angcao who passed away this morning. Oremus pro eo.

Fr. Deo Angcao was a DWST alumnus (1992, TMP) and a former SVD scholastics.

The wake is at the Casas Hall, Bishop's House, Imus, Cavite.
