February 21, 2014 – Fr. Dionisio M. Miranda, SVD*
Title: Moral Theology and New Evangelization
Place: Aula Magna

*D. M. Miranda obtained his Doctorate from the Alfonsianum ni Rome (1984) and worked as a missionary in Paraguay from 1978-1981 before joining the faculty of the Divine Word Seminary (1984-2006). He wrote five books, all pioneering studies in Inculturation and Filipino Moral Theology He is the President of the University of San Carlos in Cebu, City.

March 11, 2014 – Fr. Antonio M. Pernia, SVD*
Title: The State of Mission Today
Place: Covered Court

*A. M. Pernia is the former Superior General of the Society of the Divine Word (2000-2012). He holds a doctorate in Fundamental Theology from the Gregorian University (Rome). A recipient of the Divine Word Seminary Distinguished Alumnus Award (2009), Pernia is now a member of the faculty of the seminary’s school of theology.

*J. L. Allen, Jr. Allen is a world-renowned Vatican expert and journalist. He was a senior correspondent for the National Catholic Reporter in which his column, “All Things Catholic,” was widely-read. He is now an associate editor for The Boston Globe and continues to serve as analyst of Vatican affairs for the CNN. He authored ten books including The Future Church: How Ten Trends are Revolutionizing the Catholic Church (2009) and two biographies of Benedict XVI.

*Cardinal Tagle is the Archbishop of Manila. He taught Systematic Theology and Theology of the Priesthood at the Divine Word Seminary-Tagaytay.
